The 25th edition of the Sziget festival, a huge music bash in Budapest, Hungary, kicked off this week.

US pop star Pink hit the stage on the opening night on Wednesday.

But it wasn’t all about the acts, the incredibly hot weather meant lads and lasses were spotted wearing next to nothing.

Many sunbathed in their bikinis while one bloke was seen sporting a Borat-style mankini.

The show also includes circus acts and magicians – the week-long bash continues until Wednesday.

Last year the festival recorded a record of 496,000 visitors.

This comes as "very dangerous" temperatures led to a severe warning by European weather network Meteoalarm.

Brits are urged to take safety measures as "extreme heatwaves" continue.

Swathes of southern and eastern Europe swelter in temperatures above 40C.

The heatwave has ben nicknamed "Lucifer”.

It’s fanned forest fires, triggered weather warnings and scorched crops.

Brits heading abroad have been warned to stay hydrated and seek shade.

Hungary has been named as one of the worst hit.

But Croatia, Italy, Spain, southern France and Greece are also named.

A spokeswoman for UK travel trade organisation ABTA warned Brits to be careful.

She said: "With very high temperatures being recorded across Europe, holidaymakers are being advised to make sure they take sensible precautions to avoid sunstroke.

"Holidaymakers should ensure they stay hydrated by drinking plenty of bottled water, particularly the young or elderly.

"ABTA would also advise that British travellers follow the lead of the locals in their destination by staying out of the sun at the middle of the day when it is at its peak, and follow any advice issued by health authorities in specific destinations."

This isn't the first festival to get rather hot – and not just temperature-wise.

Watershed in the US was branded the hottest festival ever for the stunning women who attend.

While Woodstock in Poland got rather nude as revellers played in the mud.
