'Forget Croatia - try this hidden gem which is just as beautiful but much cheaper'
Avid traveller Jessica has shared her favourite 'hidden gem' holiday destination of Europe which she claims is just as nice as Croatia but a lot cheaper.
An avid traveller has shared her ultimate tips for people looking for cheap and less popular holiday destinations, and her top tip is just a short flight away from the UK.
Digtal no-mad Jessica has taken to TikTok to share her life as she makes the most of her remote working arrangements to travel the world while still having a stable income. Because of this, she's become somewhat of an expert in finding the best deals and places to visit.
In one video, she shared her travel wisdom to her thousands of followers by sharing a hidden gem travel destination that she claimed was a cheaper alternative to Croatia.
“If you’re looking for some European destination inspiration, then these are the places you should be looking at," she said the start of her video, which has been viewed over 1.1 million times.
"Hear me out, Montenegro," she revealed. "It is Croatia vibes without the Croatia cost. It is significantly cheaper than Croatia, but it still has the gorgeous blue water, the stunning little seaside town and lovely shops, budget restaurants."
Talking about everything the country has to offer, Jessica said: "You can do everything in Montenegro from mountain hiking, renting kayaks, bikes, ziplines - the activities are endless. And there are a fraction of a cost of most European countries."
She went on to show just how cheap your holiday could be by revealing that the costs of accomodation could be as low as £20 for a night.
"This is just a really quick search on Airbnb, and you can find places starting for about £20 per night, and the places I recommend you look first is Couture and Budfar," she said.

People soon took to the comments to share their thoughts on Jessica's hidden gem, with some sharing their own experiences of having visited Montenegro.
"Loved Montenegro but found it to be more expensive than I expected and also kotor is super super touristy (but lovely)" one person said, while another person went on to call it "heaven on earth".
A third person suggested: "Another shout is doing a longer trip that includes Croatia and Montenegro - then you can have a 10 day trip for the price of 5."
However some didn't agree with Jessica's comment saying it was a cheaper alternative to Croatia.
One person said: "In my experience Croatia was cheaper than Montenegro." Another person went on to say: "Montenegro is stunning but I would mot call it budget.. pretty much same prices as Uk when it comes to prices.."
